What to gather before we begin.
Use this list as a reference, and focus on the sections that apply to your project. Your client portal will confirm exactly what’s needed and when to send it.
Your Business & Goals
Tell me about your business- Business name, website address, and main contact information.
- A short explanation of what you do and who you serve.
- Your services or products, including pricing you want displayed.
- What makes your business different.
- Your main project goal: more inquiries, easier booking, clearer information, a consistent brand, or something else.
- The main action you want website visitors to take.
- Any important launch dates and what’s driving that deadline.
- Who makes the final decisions and who will provide feedback on your project.
Your Brand & Inspiration
Bring what you have- Tagline and desired brand personality.
- Existing logos, including vector files such as SVG, EPS, or AI if available.
- Brand colors, font names, and brand guidelines.
- Existing business cards, brochures, or other materials.
- Three to five examples of websites or designs you like.
- A brief explanation of what you like about each example.
- Styles, colors, or design choices you want to avoid.
Your Website Content
Organize in editable documents- A proposed page list.
- About information and relevant credentials.
- Service descriptions, pricing, and what’s included.
- Contact details, business hours, and service area.
- Frequently asked questions and answers.
- Testimonials you have permission to publish.
- Portfolio examples, project descriptions, and results you can substantiate.
- Existing blog posts or resources you want to keep.
- Button destinations: booking links, forms, shop pages, or other next steps.
- Privacy notices, terms, and other applicable policies for publication.

Original, full-resolution files- Headshots and team photos.
- Photos of your workspace, services, or products.
- Portfolio images.
- Videos and their intended placement.
- Image credits or licensing information where applicable.

How it should work- Appointment booking.
- Contact or inquiry forms.
- Newsletter signup.
- Payments or online sales.
- Downloads or lead magnets.
- Courses, memberships, or restricted content.
- Events or registrations.
- Connections to your email platform, CRM, or other tools.
Your Accounts & Access
Providers or account owners- Domain registration.
- Website hosting.

If You're Redesigning
Redesign clients only- What works well on the current website.
- What feels outdated, confusing, or broken.
- Pages and content you want to keep, update, or remove.

- Forms, booking systems, and other connections that must keep working.
- Available analytics or search performance information.
- Any previous changes or custom features I should know about.
If You're Ordering Graphics
For print & digital products- The item needed: business card, brochure, flyer, social graphic, appointment cards, etc.
- Final wording and contact information.
- Logo and brand files.
- Photos or illustrations.
- Required dimensions and versions.
- Where it will be used: print, online, or both.
- Printer specifications, if applicable.
- Any QR code destination.
- The deadline and who will approve the final design.
